| very good weekend. finally done with summer school (kinda wish i had studied just a lil more for that final, but we'll see how i did). this weekend was more than that, though. Saturday was a very joyous day. The day of the wedding of Victor and Daphne! And i realized that i really do love weddings, especially ones that go as well as theirs did. I thought it was a very lovely wedding ceremony and reception, and some people were telling me it went smoother than most weddings do (i don't have many to compare to). I'll admit, there were a couple of moments where I was on the verge of tears, like the part where Daphne's dad gave her away to Victor. It was all so touching. And it was kinda weird to see Victor like really married. Doesn't he turn 22 this month? Anyways, this is the start of a good number of weddings of old school people. Next is Shirley, then Leedah (i still can't believe he's getting married), and then Leon and Cindy. So, should we start a betting pool of who's next after Leon and Cindy? =P
And then today was pretty cool. Got to eat lunch with ROL ppl including Jon Yip. Ah, another "last lunch" with Jon Yip. I swear, he just keeps coming back just so we can keep on having "one last lunch". Haha. But it's always good to see Jon. I just hope all that driving back and forth isn't too much of a strain. Then came a good afternoon of nothingness at Richard's place. He cleaned the garage while I played TextTwist on his computer. Fun. Got to hear Scattertones' new CD too. Oh man. That's some good ish. I wish we recorded something of that caliber. We need to find better and more creative studio editors. We as in FCS. I enjoyed some bowling later at night. And I really suck now. I need to get back into it. Couldn't even break 110. Sad.
Then came the end of this weekend. A very disappointing ending. On my way home, my car got egged at Stevens Creek and Lawrence. Ugh. I had to drive to a gas station and clean it up. Really annoying. I need to get my car washed tomorrow. Hopefully it won't smell in the morning. I wiped most of it off and cleaned with a squeegee, but the yolk got into the crevices on the door handle. Yuck. So yea. That sucked. Not a good way to end your weekend. -_-

| today was a depressing day. after i visited GSCC (it was awesome seeing everyone again), i went to fry's to try and get an A/C unit. Sold out that morning. It was crazy. I called a bunch of other places (Home Depot, Lowe's, Sears, Best Buy, Costco) and they were ALL SOLD OUT. Every store in the South and East Bay. Crazy. And then I eventually got to a computer and checked craigslist, and there were like 2 left, and one was ridiculously overpriced (which I think is smart to do during a heat wave), and the other one had like 30 other people wanting it, and it became a "whoever-gets-here-first-gets-to-buy-it" ordeal. I was very sad. And hot. And pissed. Thank God for the A/C in my car, or else I would have gone crazy. At least Steph was tagging along, so I had someone to talk to and share my frustration with.
On a lighter note, it was really good to see GSCC people. I missed you guys. And I was excited to find out that April Chiu is going to be a Cal student! And I didn't know she loved singing that much (I hope she joins FCS. That would be AWESOME.)
At least my room's not that hot anymore. I think I can sleep tonite. Not like last night. O_O But I still want to buy a portable A/C unit this week...

| Halfway done with summer school in Berkeley. Poli Sci 2 is so boring. I haven't been to one where I haven't fallen asleep at all yet. Last night, went to Giants game with Hao and Sarah Choi and her friends. I don't care much for baseball, but it was a good time of hanging out. And I like garlic fries. =) Best part of the game was that FREAKING AWESOME fireworks show at the end. I loved the big ones that were so loud I could feel the sound on my clothes. Definitely must go see it again sometime. So tired. I think today will be a lazy day. Like everyday.

| hooray for conventions! My dad took me to another one today. But this time it was even better: a FOOD convention. So much fun, so much good food. =D But man, it was so hot today. 33-34 degrees C. At least I get to go back to nice and dry California tomorrow. But I hear San Jose was above 100 today and will be for a couple more days or so. Ouch. That means it's gonna be hot in Berkeley, too. And my apartment is like a greenhouse when the sun is out. Oh man.... But good news. My dad agreed to buy me a portable A/C unit. Oh man, I'm going to be spending hours in front of it now. Stupid Berkeley and its lack of A/C. Seriously, it's getting hotter every summer. I swear in the next 10 years, most apartments in Berkeley will have A/C. Can't wait to go to Best Buy to buy it when I get back.
